Silver Ships, Inc. recently delivered a custom-designed Ambar 7-meter (AM700) RHIB for the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office located in Jacksonville, Florida. The all-aluminum patrol vessel’s main mission is law enforcement patrol and response, primarily on the St. Johns River.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office’s mission is to create “a crime-free environment, driven by partnerships with empowered citizens fostering a vibrant community and the success of all individuals.” The Ambar 7-meter law enforcement vessel will further protect the Duval County, Florida community by providing assistance to boaters, search and rescue and other missions as required by first responders.

The 25-foot vessel is powered by Twin 175HP Suzuki outboard motors reaching top speeds to ensure Jacksonville Sheriff’s Marine Unit a quick response time. The AM700 also features an enclosed center console, Garmin navigation and electronics package, Whelen law enforcement lighting and siren systems and custom-designed locking weapon stowage.

Ambar 7-meter is designed for durability, speed and safety. In addition to law enforcement patrol, the AM700 is also equipped for offshore response allowing the Jacksonville Sheriff Marine Unit to expand operations and widen the range to execute missions.
