Freedom 26 Delivered to Quaker Springs Fire Department
Silver Ships recently delivered a custom fire boat to the Quaker Springs Fire Department for use on the Hudson River north of Albany, NY. The 26-foot Freedom vessel is designed to quickly respond to emergencies on the water and combat challenging weather conditions crew members may face.
The fire rescue vessel features an enclosed center console and Suzuki DF250 outboard motor. It includes a removable dive door for dive operations and personnel recovery, and is also equipped with emergency, navigation and scene lighting packages.
A Darley HE64 Hercules fire pump with TFT Tornado Monitor, Raymarine Electronics Package featuring two multi-function displays and sidescan sonar, and M332 FLIR thermal imaging device make the vessel ideal for firefighting and search and rescue missions on the river.
